Pilates as Energy Practice & Deep Reset

As the moon wanes again, my body is welcoming the rest. Yesterday the world’s greatest war criminal spoke in front of our congress, and received a standing ovation while protesters outside were tear-gassed and pepper sprayed. Evidence of concentration camps and torture of Palestinians has been abundant for months, and at least 40,000 civilians have been killed and 2 million displaced.

The sham that is US democracy is crumbling, and it’s fascinating to see people holding on tight. Grasping to the idea that an administration willing to commit live-streamed genocide is the lesser of two evils. Terrified to realize that fascism is already here. Meanwhile Sonia Massey, a 36 year old Black woman, called the police for help and they shot her in the face. This is our country.

I’m exhausted beneath so much stuck energy in my body. When I need a deep reset, pilates is where I turn. A breath practice at its core, pilates re-awakens connections throughout the body. We gather power deep in the core, and lengthen while strengthening. Pilates clears built up energy and opens new space for transformation.

~may we clear old energy & embrace the present fully
