Closing Reflections on Curiosity
Good morning! Today is our final installment of this Spring series on Curiosity. While there's a ton I could write about curiosity, this exploration helped me realize that I don't feel like writing! I would rather channel my expression in other ways.
The last few months curiosity led me towards…
classes with many new teachers, especially for pilates and sound baths
a lot of dance performances
increasingly strange sounding vocal warmups
my first meditation recordings– the process felt playful, challenging without paralyzing me, and full of possibility.
offering tarot readings, not because I suddenly felt like an expert. Because it felt right.
In every way, curiosity leads me towards deeper connection, and more embodiment. In fact it led me to a definition of embodiment, and lots of website updates…
Embodiment is connecting to the ever-changing energy and feelings in your body. The choice to return home to yourself, again and again.
Curiosity has offered me a flexible and reliable path home
My final words on curiosity, for this go around:
Curiosity is a generative force, at the root of all innovation and growth. Curiosity is extremely powerful, feared by those who prefer the status quo. Curiosity is tender, deserving protection and care. Curiosity is an expression of love in the truest sense– embracing what is with openness and wonder.
Thank you for joining me in this Spring exploration! Emails will pause until it's time to prepare for the Summer Solstice in June, unless I have exciting news to share :-)
My working themes for the summer are Visibility & Identity. Big and complex topics for me, so we'll see what comes out of my practice the next few months. I look forward to creating a new bundle of offerings- maybe with a video this time?
In the meantime I am teaching virtually, and will be launching in person offerings in NYC soon. I plan to keep creating breathwork and meditation recordings, check back on the website and follow me on Insight Timer.
May your expansion into Spring be full of Curiosity!
